Violent detergents and hot water, among other things, strain the skin.

Our skin is under intense strain every day and we rub it in without even noticing chemicals and washing. However, with some tips, you can try to control the load a bit.

8 tips to pamper your skin

1. Most of us spray too much, which washes away the skin’s natural, beneficial oils. Doing so may also cause the skin to dry out unnecessarily. Experts therefore recommend that one shower a day is enough to power well.

2. The time of the shower also matters. If you only want to limit the spraying to once a day, you should try to do it in the evening. In the evening, going to the shower washes away the sweat and dirt that has accumulated during the day and prevents the skin pores from clogging during the night. At night, the skin also has a good time to recover and regenerate after washing.

3. Check the ingredients. In detergent product descriptions, it is advisable to hunt for natural oils rather than harsh chemicals. It is also good to pay attention to the pH value. The pH of the epidermis of the skin is around 5.5, so aiming at detergents close to it can’t go very badly wrong.

4. Only wash critical areas. If the day has not been sweaty, you may well consider washing only so-called critical areas such as the armpits and intimate areas, thus saving the skin. Detergents also dry out, so in the shower you should consider whether soaping your entire body is really necessary or whether water alone is enough.

5. Peel. About once a week, the skin can also be showered with peels, which helps to keep the skin deeply cleaned in the long run when dead cells and dirt are removed.

6. Water temperature affects. As simple as the temperature of the shower water has effects on the skin. However, warm water is better for the skin than cold water, but too hot water acts like a detergent and removes all its natural oils from the skin.

7. Set the time limit. It is not worth standing in the shower any more. In addition to being shorter, shorter showers also save skin.

8. Leave to dry halfway. According to some experts, moisturizers are better absorbed by damp skin, so after a shower, the skin can only be lightly patted dry and then greased. However, intimate areas and spaces between the toes, for example, should be carefully dried to avoid infections.
